The first of many business blenders in Monona County, hosted by Iowa’s West Coast Initiative (IWCI) in partnership with MCEDP took place October 7th at 6:30 pm at Carrier Coffee & Tea Company in Onawa. The meeting included a presentation by Williams and Company regarding Covid-19 financial resources, along with an exciting debut of Iron Hide Trading Co’s new leather products.

The business blender lasted approximately 1.5 hours and was full of great conversation and good insight from seasoned business owners to brand new entrepreneurs. Community leaders & entrepreneurs present were: Dave Radke (Williams and Company), Stacy Orndorff (Coffee & Nosh and IWCI), Jess Carrier (Carrier Coffee, MCEDP, and IWCI), Katibree Orndorff (Entrepreneur), Glen Coble (State Farm – Onawa, IA), Sam and Matthew Kelm (Iron Hide Trading Co.), Jessica Bruhn & Cindy Baldwin (Graceful Boutique and Graceful Home – Mapleton, IA), and Becky Flannigan (Loess Valley – Salix, IA)

Iowa’s West Coast Initiative business blenders in Monona County will take place the first Wednesday of each month at new locations around the county. The next business blender (November 4th) will be more of a workshop and will be hosted at Ada J’s steakhouse in Ute (more details to follow).
